L Nikolaevsky, T Shchori, D Malka. In this work, we proposed a T-shaped 1 × 8 balanced OPS based on 90° bend vertical asymmetric slot WGs by using a commercial finite element method (FEM) simulation tool (COMSOL Multiphysics 5.1).The subdomains in the WG cross section were divided into triangular mesh elements. The grid size is set to λ/8 for the air medium and λ/18 for all WG geometries to obtain precise simulation results.Variable optical power splitter based on slot waveguide.Power transfer of the TE mode from the channel waveguide input port to the slot waveguide output port. On the other hand, the TM mode can evanescently couple into the slot waveguide. In this way, efficient polarization splitting is re-alized. Here, we present the design and experimental demon-stration of a compact polarization splitter. The. SCS-0831831015-SFSF-26 is a coaxial 2-way power splitter with a typical insertion loss of 1 dB at each output port and a typical isolation of 15 dB across the frequency range of 8 to 18 GHz. The power splitter has a nominal power handling of 2 W (CW) and a typical amplitude unbalance of ±0.4 dB. The return loss for all ports is 14 dB typical. Ultracompact power splitters based on the horizontal nanoplasmonic slot waveguide (Cu/SiO2/Si/SiO2/Cu, whose propagation loss is measured to be ∼0.36 dB/μm at 1550 nm for waveguide with ∼47-nm-wide Si core and ∼26-nm surrounding SiO2) are designed, simulated, and fabricated using the standard complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor technology.US6897739B2 - Waveguide power divider and combiner utilizing a.To meet the application demand of optical communication system, a new type of variable optical power splitter (VOPS) based on slot waveguide by adjusting manually is proposed in this paper. The device is designed by using the principle of optical field effect. It has an import port which provides import power, and two output ports, the power of which is divided dynamically by changing the. The length of the plasmonic waveguide is set to 100 μm, far larger than the decay length (15 μm).The fundamental TE mode of the Si 3 N 4 -Al 2 O 3 slot waveguide at a pump wavelength λ p excites the gap plasmonic.On-chip integratable all-optical quantizer using strong cross-phase.Nov 20, 2009 · To meet the application demand of optical communication system, a new type of variable optical power splitter (VOPS) based on slot waveguide by adjusting manually is proposed in this paper. The device is designed by using the principle of optical field effect. It has an import port which provides import power, and two output ports, the power of which is divided dynamically by changing the. We propose an ultra-short polarization beam splitter (PBS) consisting of two slot waveguides assisted by slotted waveguide subwavelength gratings (SWSWGs), located between the two slotted waveguides.A Broadband Terahertz Waveguide T-Junction Variable Power Splitter. The effects of the slot thickness, the waveguide spacing, and the refractive index of the slot on the. The splitting is typically in the horizontal Vertical polarization splitters act as adiabatic devices in which the input TE and TM modes couple to opposite vertical plane for use in conventional two-dimensional (2-D) integrated levels of the.‪Dror Malka‬ - ‪Google Scholar‬.Slot silicon-gallium nitride waveguide realizing 1×4 optical power splitter Abstract: In this paper, to our knowledge, we introduce the 1×4 optical power splitter operating at 1550nm wavelength for the first time, based on multimode interference (MMI) coupler in slot silicon (Si)-Gallium Nitride (GaN) waveguide structure. Plasmonic waveguide structures. Keywords: Plasmonic devices, subwavelength optical devices, bends, splitters 1. INTRODUCTION In this paper we demonstrate the existence of a bound plasmonic mode supported by a slot in a thin metallic lm deposited on a substrate, with slot dimensions much smaller than the wavelength. We also show that bends. Description: between the two output signals, while the fourth port is isolated from the input. The QSP series short slot hybrids are power dividers (3 dB couplers). They can be used in waveguide bridge circuits, image-reject and single sideband mixers, phase shifters, and power splitters. 0º Power Divider Divisions: 2-Way Combiner / Divider Type: 90º Hybrid.Power dividers and directional couplers - Wikipedia.Jul 01, 2017 · When κ 1 is equal to κ 2 a complete transfer of the energy power from the center slot waveguide 0 to the other four slot waveguide structures (1–4) can be obtained. However, this condition depends on the geometrical parameter values of the slot waveguide structure (W, H S and H h ) and the propagation distance (z).Design of polarization-independent optical couplers composed. The asymmetric slot waveguide consists of a 150-nm-wide and a 350-nm-wide nanowires with a slot of 100 nm, which can realize a transverse magnetic light cross-coupling with a 392-nm-wide strip waveguide, while little transverse electric light coupling can happen.
